We are team 'Ewe-Turn', an intrepid trio of travellers who are joining the Dumball Rally 2010, dressed up as sheep, attempting to help raise £100,000 for the
Teenage Cancer Trust.

We'll be driving an old banger 2,500 miles across Europe from Brighton to Sicily in 8 days - all for charity!

Starting in the Uk from Brighton beach we take a ferry over to France, then on to Luxembourg, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Italy, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia, Greece...and it will all end with a magnificent awards ceremony in Sicily!.

Travel itinerary:
Friday 3rd September - Brighton
We meet on Brighton sea-front (Madeira Drive if anyone wants to come along!) at 3pm for a Dumball opening ceremony dressed to the nines in our fancy outfits, with our cars pimped up all ready to rock n roll.
There will be a party at the Honeyclub, including a special guest off the X-Factor woooooo!

Saturday 4th September - Brighton to Zurich - 620 miles
This is a tough first day on the road, with seemingly little time to stop and take in any surroundings. Leaving Folkestone at 7am we catch the train through the Eurotunnel and then on down through France and into Switzerland for our first night on European soil.

Sunday 5th September - Zurich to Rjeka, Croatia - 468 miles
An early start will se us hit the road and cross the Alps (which will surely test the virility of a few of the clapped out Dumball wagons!) with undoubtedly stunning scenery. We head across Austria and the Hohe Tauern National Park and down through Slovenia then into the Croatian port of Rijeka.

Monday 6th September - Rijeka to Budva - 407 miles
The convoy continues South-East through Croatia, along the Dalmation coast, then down through Bosnia and into mysterious Montenegro for a night in its tourist capital and the oldest town on the Adriatic coast.

Tuesday 7th September - Budva to Pristina - 207 miles
We drive further South through and head into the disputed territory of Kosovo through beautiful mountain passes. If we take a wrong turn we could head into Serbia or Albania, and we DO NOT WANT TO DO THAT according to the driving manual. Apparently "Many roads are under construction, so there are often delays and detours. Aparticularly notorious road is the two-lane Moraca Canyon" [guess where we’re going!].

Wednesday 8th September - Pristina to Mount Olympus - 407 miles
A treat awaits us at the end of this drive - not only are we heading for the breathtaking Mt. Olympus, we get to stay there for 12 hours R&R on the beach! We drive down through Macedonia and on into the land of the Gods. What a place to finish the day!

It'll be hotting up as we head through Macedonia into Greece. Will many have floundered before we get there?

Thursday/Friday 9th/10th September - Mt Olympus to Igoumenitsa - Brindisi - Sicily - 650 miles

A big 2 days!
A short start to this trip as it's only 200 miles to the port of Igomenitsa and we don't catch the ferry until late. So after we head west to the Greek coast, we can park up again and hit the beach in Olympian Bay.
We catch the Ionian Queen for a 24 hour ferry crossing, then arrive in Italy at Brindisi.
Then it is our last drive down Italy's boot to the tip and make a short ferry crossing into the island of the Godfathers where we hope to get a warm friendly reception!

Saturday 11th September - PARTY!!

For those that make it, it will be a day of rest and relaxation as we drink to the successful completion of the voyage!
The trip is rounded off with a great party to celebrate the fundraising and hand out awards to the best, and worst competitors!
